CK High School suicide prevention team:
Katherine
Izzi (school counselor) and Kathy Forster (school nurse) provided
support to the 12 members. The team facilitated 28 classroom presentations
and distributed key chains and stickers to students at the high
school as well as at Central Kitsap Junior High School and Klahowya
Secondary School. They wrote an article for the high school newspaper,
handed out suicide awareness information at lunch hours and conducted
an all-school broadcast for prevention awareness. A total of 2,130
students in the Central Kitsap School District were impacted by
these efforts!
