YSPP volunteer application

To Prospective Volunteers

Thank you for your interest in volunteering for the Youth Suicide Prevention Program. If you are a Washington State resident, please complete the volunteer application so we may review your interest and our needs.

If you reside outside Washington State, we suggest you look for a contact in your area on the National Suicide Prevention Resource Center website.

Our mission is to reduce suicide attempts and deaths by the youth of Washington State. We strive to accomplish this mission through three program areas - public awareness, gatekeeper training and building active communities.

We do not provide counseling for depressed and/or suicidal youth.

YSPP is considered an expert in the area of youth suicide prevention and has received regional and national recognition.  The Center for Disease Control promotes YSPP's program as a model, and public health officials from other states have utilized the expertise of YSPP in the development of their state's youth suicide prevention programs.
